WWI Gift Tin from the Colonies – Item 97247
Interesting black finish tin marked to lid “A gift of the Colonies of Trinidad, Grenada and St Lucia to his Majesty’s Naval and military forces”. These chocolate tins were presented during the first war as way of a gift from the Colonies for the British troops serving in WWI. Taken from the idea of the Princess Mary’s gift tins which contained cigarettes for soldiers. No chocolate remaining.
