Third Reich Waffen SS Conscription Letter – Item 81606

Interesting letter and reply from the Reserve and Replacements Office of the military SS for the Baltic Area. Requesting that Heinz Wornow must attend without fail for examination for service in the SS Patrol Service on 23.3.43 and signed by the leader of the SS Reserve Office Baltic. An interesting letter showing the lack of manpower as reserves were running short in Germany in the later war years when recruiting. In this particular case a postal worker who was needed for the SS and the postal offices attempt to ask for this not to be the case due to their lack of manpower.
