Third Reich SA Grouping to Early Member – Item 92723

Unusual grouping of three documents and period photograph to a SA Scharfuhrer Ludwig Lauterbach of SA Sturmbann 1-30 in Upper Franchonia. Lauterbach was an early member of the SA and took part in the round up and suppression of members of the communist party and other dissidents. After the Reichstag fire and resultant enabling act  of March 1933 the SA were made Armed Police Auxiliaries. This is the upheaval mentioned in one of the documents. It is unclear when he was discharged from the SA, but sometime before 6.8.1935 as he is shown to volunteer for the NS Labour Service and must have been in good standing with the party or he would not have been accepted. An interesting grouping plus postcard period photo with the reverse inscribed “Gau Parade in 1937 Regensburg Sturmbann 1-30″.
