Third Reich Personal Letters of SS Police Chief held in Dachau – Item 99134
Three interesting Prisoner of War letters from Herman Ramsperger who was German Police chief in Mannheim. Ramsperger rose to the rank of Brigade Leader and was on the Personal staff of the Reich Fuhrer Henrich Himmler. Was also president of the Police in Katowice in 1943. Each letter is written on official Prisoner of War single sheet paper. Interestingly he was in-turned at the end of the war in Dachau. Each envelope is marked with zone and War Crimes Censor. All in his own ink handwriting. As each letter was examined. An interesting set of letters from a member of Himmler’s staff who ended up in Dachau at the end of the war whilst being held by the British.
