Third Reich Order of the German Eagle Grand Cross – Item 103379

Museum quality copy of the German Grand Cross of the German Eagle. Originally made on 20.4.1939 this medal was limited to 16 recipients. Only 8 people ever received it. This included General Oschima, Japanese Ambassador to Germany. On 2.4.1939 the addition of swords was added to all grades – as this example shows. Three piece construction with domed rivets to reverse. Pin with stamping. An excellent quality copy of this unique award in gilt and enamel. A great collection filler as the original is literally impossible to find!
