Third Reich Luftwaffe Fighter Squadron Wooden Salver – Item 104202

Scarce Luftwaffe wooden salver measuring 29cm in diameter and marked ‘Kriegsweihnacht 1939‘ ( ‘Wartime Christmas 1939′) and the unit’s initials : ‘I.J.G.1′ ( I.Gruppe.Jagdgeschwader 1) to bottom. Good condition for age and complete with hanging ring to reverse.

Note:  Jagdgeschwader 1 was a fighting wing which was created on May 1, 1939 and fought on different fronts until the end of the war. It was mainly equipped with Messerschmitt Bf 109 and Focke-Wulf Fw 190.
