Third Reich German U Boat Hydrometer – Item 85670

Scarce glass German U boat issue hydrometer/thermometer. Issued for ascertaining the density of salt water and enabling the accurate trimming of a U boat. Excellent condition and still contained in its original carboard tube. KM marked. Similar example shown in Benders book on the German Kriegsmarine. Due to their fragile construction very few of these have survived.
