Third Reich DLV NCOs Airman’s Peaked Cap – Item 100165

Scarce and seldom found Third Reich DLV Airman’s NCOs Peaked Cap. Luftwaffe blue/grey wool cap with blue/grey piping to top and central band. Early style cap eagle with pressed alloy DLV winged swastika badge to lower band. Excellent lining and leather sweatband. Full sweat diamond to crown and Robert Lubstein, Berlin manufactures mark and 1934 date under sweatband. A rarely seen peaked cap.

Note:  The DLV or German Air Sports Association was the for runner of the Luftwaffe.  Many aspects of its uniforms were similar to the uniforms introduced into the Luftwaffe.
