Third Reich Battleship Scharnhorst Wall Plaque – Item 97319

Interesting heavy bronze plaque decorated with date of the Launch of the Scharnhorst battleship and the date of its sinking. Shows defiant German sailor waving battle flag at British Destroyer. Scharnhorst was part of the Arctic campaign and was sunk on 26 December 1943 by the destroyer HMS Duke of York.  Good condition. Measures 24.5cm in diameter.
