Luftwaffe Honour Goblet in Silver to Gerhard Arendt – Item 110368
Rare WWII silver marked German Luftwaffe Honour Goblet (Ehrenpokal) awarded to Gerhard Arendt Kampfgeschwader 54. Lovely example engraved to the bottom section ‘FELDWEBEL GERHARD ARENDT AM 26.10.41’. The goblet with a nice dark patina to the body. Underneath is impressed with German silver marks, crescent moon, crown 835 and eagle, also stamped with makers mark ‘JOH. WAGNER & SOHN’. Small dent to the rim and some scratching to the name area but generally good example of an early silver goblet. Real silver early Goblets are much rarer than the later Alpaka examples.
Note: Arendt is listed as serving with Kampfgeschwader 54, also states he was awarded the Radio Operators badge, bomber operational bar in bronze, EK2, EK1, German Cross in gold and this honour goblet.
