Imperial German U9 Commemorative Postcards – Item 111926

Nice pair of commemorative postcards for Otto Weddigen, Commander of U9. One shows him in uniform with his Iron Cross. Other with colour and Iron Cross decoration. An interesting pair of specially produced postcard.

Note:  Otto Eduard Weddigen was an Imperial German Navy U-boat commander during World War I. He was awarded the Pour le Mérite, Germany’s highest honour, for sinking four British warships
