British WWI Tommy’s Battle Damaged Brodie Helmet – Item 110181

Interesting battlefield pick up British Tommy’s combat helmet. Has 80% of its dark textured original paint finish. Clear signs of shrapnel damage to front and large crease to top bowl of helmet from projectile. An interesting been there combat helmet. Unfortunately liner and chinstrap now missing. As brought back in the 1920s by a visitor to the battlefields where trips were organised for visitors and often helmets were sold as souvenirs. Just minor pitting but overall good condition.
