British Royal Naval Unusual Variation Mid Shipman’s Dirk – Item 104555

British circa George V Royal Naval Mid Shipman’s Dirk. Unusual variation in white metal. Normally always seen in brass. This particular example is standard in all other ways. Possibly a volunteer version.  Lion head with shark skin grip. Couple of strands of wire now missing from grip. Good blade fully engraved with Kings crown, anchor etc. Comes complete with its correct pattern leather and steel scabbard with hanging rings for attachment to belt.  In 50 years of dealing this is the first example I have come across in white metal.
