Third Reich Army Wehrpass with Ambulance Transport Unit – Item 96375

Interesting Third Reich Army Wehrpass. Issued on 25.8.1939 to 28 year old conscript Erich Gunther, an artist and Berliner who served with ambulance transport unit 539 as a driver. He saw action in France, The Balkans and a lengthy campaign in the East with the 4th Panzer Army. On 26.8.1943 he took part in Italy. His awards include War Merit Cross 2nd Class, Eastern Front medal and Drivers Arm badge (bronze grade). He was promoted to Corporal on 1.4.1942. Uniform photo shows him in civilian clothing. A good early Wehrpass with many interesting entries. Good overall condition.
