Third Reich SA Sports Painting on Board – Item 89225

Impressive Third Reich period painting on board showing SA competitive Horseman in action. Shows SA man in full uniform of jumping horse in sports competition. Complete in its period frame (some minor paint wear to bottom edge of frame) but does not distract from the painting which is perfect. Artist signature to lower corner but difficult to read. Probably displayed in SA/Hitler Youth Barracks. Measures 90 x 73cm . Horsemanship was very important to the SA/SS pre war and there were many displays and competitions with much rivalry between the SA and SS. Third Reich paintings seldom come on to the market.
