Third Reich Waffen SS Schuma Officers Side Cap – Item 110987

Scarce and seldom found Waffen SS Schuma Battalion volunteers side cap. Complete with its white wool piping and period sewn bevo cap insignia to front. Excellent condition with silk grey lining and leather partial sweatband to front. Size 56 marked to liner.

Note:  After the invasion of Russia various anti soviet militia and home guard units were set up. Mainly from Ukranians and consolidated into an Auxiliary Police Force to assist the SS in Anti Partisan Operations.
