Third Reich German Army Demjansk Battle Shield – Item 109203

Third Reich German Army/Waffen SS Demjansk combat shield. Complete with backing plate and original green cloth surround. Awarded for the defence of the small Russian town of Demjansk. The award was made to the Waffen SS 3rd Panzer Division and also issued to some members of Russian volunteers serving with the Wehrmacht. Good uniform removed example. Some rust bleed to paper backing but overall in good condition.
