Third Reich Army Demjansk Arm Shield – Item 112459

Third Reich Army cloth backed Demjansk battle shield. Complete with backing plate. Good condition. Awarded as a battle badge to all members of the armed forces who in the encircled district of Demjansk had taken part honorably in the defensive fighting. The shield was instituted on 25.4.1943. Much original grey finish remaining to badge.
