Third Reich Narvik Arm Shield – Item 112342

Third Reich army cloth backed grey metal Narvik Campaign Shield. Excellent condition with backing plate and backing paper finish. Instituted on 19 August 1940 the shield was the first of a series of shield badges. It was awarded to all members of the Army, Navy and Air Force who took part in the battle of Narvik. The awards were awarded by the commander of Army Group Narvik General Dietl.
